Director of Operations

The Director of Operations is responsible for directing and coordinating the daily operations of the business.  This includes developing efficiency strategies to ensure customer deadlines are met at reasonable production costs.  The Director of Operations works directly with Maintenance, Purchasing, and Administrative personnel.

The Director must possess initiative, have a positive attitude who enjoys working with people to achieve tremendous results.  Must be a team player who loves a good challenge, has a high level of integrity, and works diligently to exceed expectations.  A leader willing to incorporate the company vision into daily operations to ensure the company maintains and exceeds its operational goals, utilizing continuous process improvement, project management, resource utilization, and reporting.  The Director works at both a high-level and a hands-on level to lead by example and ensure our high quality standards are met.  The Director shares the responsibility of lifting our company to amazing new heights!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishes and executes plans to ensure the smooth operation of maintenance projects
  • Works to continually improve systems
  • Tracks and reviews team goals and projects
  • Develops relationships with clients through scheduling and coordinating visits, communicating timelines and costs, providing cost estimates, and relaying technical information
  • Reviews and compiles aircraft data to update status of Life Limited and Time Sensitive aircraft items; prepares logbook entries and other FAA documents for work completed
  • Leads daily production meetings
  • Oversees inventory control program, including min/max levels, cycle counting, part number scheme, bill of materials, and process instructions for AR products
  • Develops and integrates all processes with existing accounting system
  • Maintains all technology used to run business, including hardware, software, data services, and technical services
  • Leads the team with integrity to maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive work environment
  • Reviews and documents all standard procedures
  • Seeks customer feedback post-service and compiles results
  • Hires subcontractors as needed for building improvement/repairs
  • Addresses HR issues as they arise in conjunction with CEO/CFO
  • Manages employee onboarding process
  • Works with management to set strategy and goals

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strategic leadership experience at the upper management level
  • Proven work experience as an Operations Manager
  • In-depth knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including sales/marketing, inventory management, accounting, customer service, production, and employee management
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increased productivity
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities

LOCATION:  This position is based in Cumberland, Wisconsin.
