Director of Finance

The Director of Finance monitors and guides the financial health of the business by administering effective accounting and inventory management procedures, as well as human resources and marketing support.

The Director of Finance must possess initiative, have a positive attitude, and be a team player who enjoys working with others to achieve results.  Must have a high level of integrity, leads by example, and ensures our high quality standards are met.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accounting practices to adequately and efficiently track all income, expenses, inventory transactions, and timekeeping
  • Maintain all pricing schedules
  • Audit transactions created by invoicing/purchasing/shipping/receiving
  • Process bi-weekly payroll; manage employee deductions; pay payroll taxes
  • Maintain inventory control procedures that provide adequate inventory levels to support throughput; manage cycle count program; set min/max reorder levels based on usage
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Prepare financial reports/charts; track key indicators
  • Present financials to tax accountant
  • Manage human resources records, pay levels, workers comp and unemployment insurances
  • Ensure company liability and property insurance policies are kept in force with adequate coverage
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions including banks and payment processors
  • Manage content and functionality of the company’s online website/webstore

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven work experience as Director of Finance or similar role
  • Sound knowledge of accounting practices and financial regulations
  • Experience using accounting software, preferably QuickBooks
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and soft people skills
  • Detail and process oriented
  • Strong ethics with an ability to manage confidential data
  • Driven personality type that thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
  • Relevant experience in a service-provider environment a plus

LOCATION:  This position is based in Cumberland, WI.

JOB TYPE:  Full-time/days/M-F/8a-4:30p

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum 5+ years relevant experience managing business finances
